Something surprising happened when I went to a new doctor yesterday.
Before I get to that, let me share with you this: "In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." -Genesis 1:27
Back to the doctor’s visit. In the on-boarding, the first question: What pronoun do you want us to refer to you as? It listed numerous options.
Second question: What is your gender? It was a very long list. Male and female were not on the list.
There was a little help button if you could not figure out your gender. I had to click it because "male" was not an option. I kid you not.
I was unaware that if you are male from birth and still are it’s called “cis male.”
Third question: Something along the line of, 'We’re sorry to have to ask this but for legal reasons we must, what does your birth certificate say you are?' It listed *only* two options, "male" or "female." I'm not making this up.
I get it: We should be wise in picking our battles. We should be gentle. We should be sensitive to the needs of all—especially those who are hurting because others have confused them and abused them with the lie that you can be anything you want. We should be compassionate to all.
But after being asked those three questions I was like "Secular culture has led us to a real problem in our society."
(For instance, at the recent DNC Chair Election, they had to pause the procedures to figure out how to proceed with a non-binary candidate. You can see it for yourself here:

Here's the point: Satan‘s go-to-trick is over complicating the simple as it pertains to what God said.
As I was looking at those gender options and when I saw "male" was not even on the list I thought to myself, "The Devil just overplayed his hand." He tries to confuse us. He's often successful. But sometimes he takes it too far, and even a fool can see there's a problem.
