What does it mean to grow in your relationship with God?
It means becoming more aware of His presence, more aligned with His character, and more responsive to His voice. It’s not about earning His love—it’s about deepening your connection with Him because of His love.
- Knowing Him more deeply – Spending time in Scripture to understand who God is. Learning His heart, His promises, and His ways. “Let us press on to know the Lord.” – Hosea 6:3 (ESV)
- Trusting Him more fully – Growing in faith, especially when life is uncertain. Choosing to rely on God’s wisdom, not your own. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…” – Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
- Loving Him more passionately – Worship becomes more than music—it becomes a lifestyle. Your desires begin to align with His. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart…” – Matthew 22:37 (NIV)
- Obeying Him more willingly – You begin to surrender habits, thoughts, and decisions to His will. Obedience becomes joy, not duty. “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” – John 14:15 (ESV)
- Reflecting Him more clearly – The fruit of the Spirit becomes more evident in your life. People see Jesus through the way you live and love. “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” – Romans 12:2 (NIV)
Growing in your relationship with God means becoming more like Jesus—not by trying harder, but by staying closer.
