Instead of asking God to take the pain away,

ask Him to remind you of the pain Jesus endured to save you.

Instead of asking God to make the stress disappear,

ask Him to give you broader shoulders to carry the load.

Instead of asking God to cut the lesson short,

ask Him to help you learn every bit of what He’s teaching you — so you can follow Him more faithfully.

Hard prayers. But prayers that grow you.
